This image was taken from a boat on a seal watching trip ffrom Ramsgate harbour. The group of seals were resting on the shoreline at the estuary of the River Stour taking the occasional dip. The Common Seal (also known as Harbour Seal) is the smaller of the two UK seal species.Despite being called 'common' they are rarer than the Grey Seal.
