The Coal Tit is widespread and common throughout the UK. The coal tit’s diet is made up of insects and spiders, which they actively hunt from the conifer trees they frequent, as well as seeds and nuts. This Coal Tit was observed flitting in and out of the conifers searching the cones for seeds. The bird was very quick and the shadows within the tree branches caused me to take many failed shots but eventually got a few reasonable images.
