The female Blackbird feeding on berries image was taken locally in Chislehurst, Kent. This bird was amonst a flock of Redwings that were stripping berries from all bushes in sight. The Blackbird is common and widespread in wooded habitats, parks, gardens and farmland with hedges. It often feeds in fields and on lawns. Rich melodious song often heard in urban and suburban neighbourhoods with trees and hedges.
