Sparrowhawk (Juvenile)
One of our most familiar birds of prey Sparrowhawks are birds of woodland, but they have adapted to life in other habitats, including gardens, farmland and even urban areas. Sparrowhawks occur over the whole of the UK. This image was taken at Sevenoaks Nature Reserve where a family of Sparrowhawks could be observed nesting high in the trees. The location remained guarded until the young had fledged. This image is of one of the juveniles.
